Love the idea of no alcohol, but as a Sauvignon Blanc lover, found out not all sauv grapes. Very tart, like SB, but bitter. Great customer service when 2 bottles were broken upon arrival.
In a positive contrast to other non-alcoholic white wines I have tried, Giesen Sauvignon Blanc tasted like a dry white wine, not like fruit juice. That is why I bought more of it and will continue to do so.
Really enjoyed the Gilsonite Sauvignon Blanc (just ordered more!) but delivery was very slow. Don’t know if this a way to lure one into the monthly subscription, but I signed up anyhow.
I went AF over a year ago and I assumed I would have to give up my beloved Marlborough SB. This was at my local Whole Foods along with another red. The red was ****, but this my friends is amazing! I’ve read the other reviews about the vinegar taste. I didn’t have that experience and I wonder if this is a possible problem of an aging AF wine? Mine was crisp, light, and did not taste like an overly sweet grape juice. In fact it had a tannin finish and I checked the bottle 3 times to make sure I wasn’t mistaken about it being AF!!
Really like this wine! I’m doing ‘Dry January’ and am trying lots of zero alc wine, beer and spirits. This Sauvignon Blanc is like a usual NZ Sauvignon Blanc, only lighter. Really Fresh and light and not sweet. Will def buy again!
I decided to try this even after reading several negative reviews. So glad I did. This is an NA Sauvignon Blanc, exactly as described. I used to drink Kim Crawford SB semi-regularly. This is clearly the same kind of wine - easily identifiable even by the smell. Very nice to add white wine back at dinner sometimes. Price is better than so many non-alcoholic drinks currently being marketed.
At first, the taste was thin and sour, but stirring in a little sugar brought it up to the Marlborough grapefruit-y taste that's so compelling.
Excellent n/a NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Grapefruit notes. Not too sweet, just acidic enough. Doesn't lose its flavor or become watery after poured. Pretty color.
I was a big fan of Malborough SBs and when I quit drinking, I reconciled myself with the fact I’d never enjoy a Sauvignon Blanc again, that there was simply no equivalent. I was wrong! This SB has the crisp grapefruit notes I love so much, a great complement for a light pasta or seafood dish in the spring or summer. Doesn’t have that flat or diluted flavor a lot of NA wines and beers fall victim to. I’m definitely impressed and hope I can always find this wine!
Not bad. I mean, if you blindfolded someone that knows wine at all, they would know something was very fishy about it, but it definitely doesn’t taste sickly sweet or watery like some of the other wines. We like our whites bone-dry in this house, and this was almost tart. I might even stir in a teensy bit of honey, that’s how not-sweet it is. It’s hands down the best non-alcoholic wine I’ve had, and we’ve tried several.
I have tried most of the NA wines out there and WOW, this one is so realistic - I had to triple check the bottle to make sure it was not real wine. It is sophisticated and light/crisp, everything a sauv blanc should be. Highly recommend!
I love wine but have been trying to find alternatives. Every other NA wine is way too sweet. Plus, they also have a ridiculous amount of carbs and calories. This one is absolutely brilliant! It does truly taste like a regular Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. It's very tart, with lots of green apple notes (as is the case with these wines), so if you're not into tart, dry wines, this won't do it for you. But for my tastes it's absolutely perfect. And, it's only 25 calories a glass. It's more expensive at Whole Foods than at other places around the country, but this is the only place I can find it locally so it's totally worth it. Please don't stop carrying this!
I am a picky SB drinker and have tried several non-A versions of different bottled adult beverages. Most are sticky sweet or super-vinegar-y. I have to say that I am so pleased with the Giesen SB! I love to enjoy a glass of wine, but hate how it makes me feel. This was light, lovely, zero complaints. The ritual was the same, as if I was enjoying a true glass of wine. Be sure to drink extra-chilled or a slight vinegar note will be more prominent. Don't be afraid to drink over ice. It works imo.
